潮濕漫長的梅雨季總會讓人心情煩躁，最讓人討厭的就是鞋子泡水後連著濕濕黏黏的襪子一起悶住腳！因此很多人只要看到外頭下雨就索性穿上夾腳拖，雖然比較舒適，但除了外觀看起來有些邋遢，專家提醒若長時間穿著夾腳拖甚至會有健康的問題。
在北卡羅來納州維克森林浸信會醫療中心工作的卡蜜拉?隆（Camilla Long）博士分享了一些案例，這些病人因為長期習慣穿著夾腳拖而產生一些症狀，如脛前疼痛（小腿部位）、跟腱問題及背痛等。
她表示，穿著夾腳拖時因為無法支撐足弓和足跟，所以我們會有繃緊腳指的習慣，這也會導致走路姿勢的改變因而造成背部疼痛。足底筋膜炎也是常見症狀之一，因支撐足弓的韌帶過於緊繃導致走路時會非常疼痛，且這類症狀沒有具體的治療方法。
博士建議，不要穿著夾腳拖奔跑或是長途行走，因為我們的腳底非常需要大的支撐力，這是平底的拖鞋或涼鞋沒辦法提供的。
